Case 3 History ---- The patient is a 57-year-old man presented with progressive bilateral lower extremity weakness for 6 days. CK and aldolase are elevated. His findings were compatible with an irritable myopathy and evidence of a sensorimotor axonal polyneuropathy. Operative procedure: Muscle biopsy - Left vastus medialis. ---- 3A1,2 H&E stained sections show multiple CD. The appearance of low magnification images may mimic red cells, although the halos usually help in their proper identification. (H&E)
