Case 3 History ---- The patient is a 45-year-old man with mild distal left leg weakness, and normal sensation. Serum analysis showed borderline IgM binding to NS6S. This antibody is often associated with chronic, immune-mediated, multifocal motor neuropathy causing asymmetric muscle weakness and atrophy, particularly in the distal upper extremities Operative procedure: Right vastus lateralis muscle biopsy. ---- 3A1,2 In this case the filaments appear more organized within the fibrous body and are not oriented in line with sarcomeric substructure, rather they abut adjacent unstructured sarcoplasm .
