14B3-5A,B The most striking alteration in this case is the marked increase in number and size of fat droplets which are closely associated with abnormal mitochondria. Abnormal mitochondria are increased in size, some reaching more than a 10 fold increase in diameter, disoriented in distribution and with expansion of internal cristae. (electron micrographs)
