Case 26 History ---- The patient is a 71-year-old man with difficulty rising from the floor. EMG shows irritable myopathy and polyneuropathy. Serum shows NT5C1A and TS-HDS antibodies, high TSH and IgG. Rule out inclusion body myositis. Procedure: Muscle biopsy, left deltoid ---- 26A1A-C Large aggregates of marginally abnormal mitochondria are common in this case. (electron micrographs)
