Case 38 History ---- The patient is a 49 year old woman with SLE, presenting with proximal muscle weakness. EMG showed neuropathic and myopathic changes. She has been treated off and on with hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) for some time and is currently on HCQ. We are requested to examine the material to look for curvilinear inclusions expected in HCQ induced myopathy. Operative procedure: biopsy, left vastus lateralis.
