Case 8 History ---- The patient is a 5-week-old female born via C-section at 38 weeks and 3 days with postnatally diagnosed DiGeorge syndrome, microcephaly with an abnormal brain MRI and dilated cardiomyopathy. Operative procedure: Muscle biopsy. ---- 8A1 The muscle biopsy of this patient shows atrophic pale fibers (arrows) adjacent to larger eosinophilic forms. (H&E)
