Case 3 History ---- The patient is a 51-year-old woman with over three decades of progressive weakness in the setting of lupus. Electrodiagnostic testing showed a non-irritable myopathy of varying severity among different proximal and distal muscles. Serum CK is normal. A myopathy-2 autoantibody panel showed antibodies against titin, SRP-72 and Ku. Procedure: Skeletal muscle, right biceps, biopsy: ---- 3A1-5 Multiple examples in this case show diffuse cytoplasmic collections of homogeneous, eosinophilic, rod-shaped structures/inclusions with a typical focal, sub-sarcolemmal distribution.
