Case 5 History ---- The patient is a 79-year-old woman with severe head drop, difficulty walking, and generalized weakness. Operative procedure: Left biceps brachii muscle biopsy. ---- 5A1-3 Numerous fibers contain small eosinophilic inclusions (arrows, 5A1,2) consistent with nemaline rods. (H&E) ---- 5B1A Gomori trichrome shows small, purple aggregates in many fibers. (Gomori trichrome)
