This series of images shows a focus of the pathologic process as viewed by H&E (1B13), LFB-PAS (1B14) and Bielschowsky (1B15). ---- The H&E section shows a central venule surrounded by an area of pallor with surrounding patches of hemorrhage. Immediately surrounding the vessel wall, which is not well preserved, are tiny crumbs of nuclei as might be expected in vasculitis.
