One vessel shows perivascular white matter pallor and discoloration of the central venule which reflects loss of integrity of the blood brain barrier with fibrin deposition and extravasation.(LFB-PAS) ---- This is a complex case in which many processes may be operating in the genesis of the white matter hemorrhages. Small hemorrhages were also found in the heart.
