1C2-4 Higher magnification of the infiltrate shows a malignant lymphoma of a large cell type with frequent mitoses, apoptotic bodies and necrosis which involves large areas of the parenchyma and leptomeninges in the cerebral hemispheres, basal ganglia, thalamus, cerebellum and brainstem. There is prominent accumulation of tumor cells in a perivascular distribution. (H&E)
