A portion of the neurosurgical biopsy in this case shows variation in the appearance of individual segments. In subsequent images, the section with greater basophilia (arrowhead) will show involvement by lymphoma and the more vacuolated piece (arrow) will be shown to have a more reactive, demyelinative histopathology (H&E).
