Case 1 Autopsy Results (Presented as images #2A1-H3):---- The patient continued to have intractable epilepsy and was managed with a ketogenic diet, antiepileptic medications and steroids. Limited information is available regarding the immediate events leading to her death. The patient had received a steroid pulse one week prior to death, Unfortunately, the patient's respiratory rate increased over the next weekend and she died at home at the age of 13 months. The weight of the unfixed brain is 1050 g (normal for age = 750 g).
