Case 10 History These images of hyperplastic arterioles were found in a hypertensive patient with significant white matter pallor and may be confused with CADASIL. ---- 10A1-3 A small arteriole shows proliferative onion-skinning which superficially resembles the granular change of CADASIL; however, it fails to stain in a granular pattern with PAS (10A2, LFB-PAS) and does stain with collagen in a circumferential pattern (10A3, Trichrome)
