1B1 Cerebroretinal Vasculopathy, CRV, RVCL, TREX, HERNS, Case 1 Autopsy) 2AB
1B1-5 Gross autopsy specimen of this patient. ---- The right hemispheric white matter is extensively sunken, discolored and friable. The corpus callosum is shrunken and the basal ganglia appear involved, although the involvement may reflect selective involvement of the white matter of the internal capsule. Areas of involvement of the white matter typically lack perivascular hemorrhages as might be expected in acute hemorrhagic leukoencephalitis (Weston Hurst disease)
