1C4-6 Higher magnification (4X) of the central area (arrowhead area in 1C1) is also stained routinely for H&E (1C4), for myelin (1C5, LFB-PAS) and for axons (1C6, Bielschowsky). Myelin is lost in the absence of axonal loss or axonopathy with spheroid formation.
