1C7-9 Higher magnification (10X) of the central area (arrowhead area in 1C1) is stained routinely for H&E (1C7), myelin (1C8, LFB-PAS) and axons (1C9, Bielschowsky). Myelin is lost in the absence of axonal loss or axonopathy with spheroid formation.
