1D1 This section shows the junction of a demyelinated and myelinated transverse group of fibers (arrowheads). A fascicle of a descending corticospinal/corticobulbar pathway (arrow) is also seen in cross section. Notice the relative preservation of neurons within the pontine nuclei as well as the absence of perivascular inflammation (H&E)
