In this image fibrinoid necrosis and large numbers of small vessels are accompanied by fibrosis, hyalinization and thrombosis. There is an acute inflammatory response in the areas of necrosis. Perivascular and parenchymal mononuclear inflammation is present in some areas where the tissue is still viable. There is no evidence of viable neoplasm.
