7B1,2 Sections of the resected frontal tumor show large areas of radiation-induced necrosis which prominently display hyalinized blood vessels and fibrinoid vascular necrosis. Areas of high cellularity resembling the original tumor are absent and no tumor cells are noted in immunohistochemical stains for IDH1 (R132H) mutation, present in the original tumor cells which was originally designated a mixed oligoastrocytoma.
