1D1-3 Focusing on the U fibers (arrowheads, 1D1, H&E) from sequential areas, myelin and axons are better preserved with axons. I have read that U fibers are slower to mature and, thus, lag behind in the pace of degradation and abnormal myelin catabolism and relatively spared. (H&E)
