Case 3 History ---- This 3 year old patient presented with a poorly characterized neuromuscular problem and received a nerve and muscle biopsy. ---- 3A1-3 One micron thick plastic embedded toluidine blue stained sural nerve section from this patient shows axon loss, thinned myelin for axon caliber, multiple naked demyelinated axons, macrophages with osmiophilic inclusions and occasional incipient onion-bulbs (arrowhead)
