1A1,2 The weight of the unfixed brain was 1050 g. The cerebellar tissue adjacent to the tumor resection site (arrowhead,1A1) is discolored and gliotic. Sections of the midbrain and pons show patchy discoloration in the basis pontis and tegmentum. There was no residual tumor and the pathology to be shown subsequently is only present in the pons and adjacent midbrain.
