This pontine whole mount shows numerous small lesions in the white matter tracts of the basis pontis. Considering the sodium values, we considered the possibility of central pontine myelinolysis (there was not a sudden iatrogenic change in sodium) but these lesions are not central in the pons and are not demyelinative (H&E)
