Case 1 (Case 7 of the 2008 of the Canadian Association of Neuropathology meeting) ---- This whole mount of the cerebral hemispheres shows pallor and near total loss of myelin in the majority of the subcortical white matter. There is patchy (more leopard than tigroid) myelin preservation, particularly around small vessels. Higher magnification of these areas are seen in following images (Solacrome Cyanin R)
