Case 1 History (AANP DSS 1995, Case 2) ---- The clinical chart of this 24-year-old North American native reflects her sad social circumstance and the numerous Emergency Room visits for assaults, falls and attempted suicide. She was a substance abuser and was frequently described as intoxicated and smelling of glue. Though observed to be slow to respond and very tremulous, she was never ·seen by a neurologist and, as a result, neuroradiological studies were never done. Death was suicide by hanging.
