9B1-5 Sections of the neurosurgical specimen (H&E) ---- Sections of the third ventricular mass show a cystic space lined by stratified squamous epithelium with a palisading layer and foci of wet keratinization. Adjacent brain tissue shows invasion of tumor within perivascular Virchow-Robin spaces inducing focal astrogliosis with Rosenthal fibers.
