Case 13 History ---- [57yo female with a 2-year history of progressive Cushing's symptoms including moon facies, blushing, easy bruising, and elevated blood sugars, who had a suspicious pituitary lesion on MRI.] ---- 13A1 A whole mount section of the pituitary show both neoplastic (arrowheads) and nonneoplastic tissue. The neoplastic tissue has monomorphic round nuclei and granular eosinophilic cytoplasm with well-defined cell borders but no evidence of Crooke’s hyaline change. A subpopulation of the non-neoplastic pituitary acini have both coarse basophilic cytoplasm as well as glassy eosinophilic cytoplasmic inclusions.
