Case 1 History ---- [44yo female with a pituitary mass.] ---- 1A1-3 Sections of the mass show replacement of cytoplasmic granules of pituitary basophils with ring like aggregates of homogenous hyaline material. The cells show distinct cell borders with abundant glassy, eosinophilic cytoplasm and prominent nuclei with nucleoli. Some of the tumor cells show marked nuclear atypia, but mitotic activity is low.
