6A4 PA (Case 6) H&E 40X
6A4,5 H&E stained sections show a pituitary adenoma consisting of a monomorphous population of tumor cells arranged in sheets and forming occasional pseudo-rosettes and pseudo-papillary structures. The individual tumor cells have round nuclei, stippled fine chromatin, micro-nucleoli, and a moderate amount of amphophilic cytoplasm. Mitotic activity is up to 2-5/10 HPF. Round, eosinophilic cytoplasmic inclusions are apparent on sections.
