The cytoplasm is eosinophilic and has a granular or oncocytic quality. Occasional epithelioid cells are seen as well. There are no eosinophilic granular bodies or Rosenthal fibers. The original specimen resected at BJH 11 years previously was reviewed and demonstrated identical morphologic features.
