Case 12 History ---- The patient is a five year old girl with a retropharyngeal mass. Operative procedure: Excision of retropharyngeal mass. ---- 12A1-3 Sections of the retropharyngeal mass reveal a highly cellular, relatively solid appearing neoplasm with rhabdoid cells containing eccentric bellies of eosinophilic cytoplasm and occasional globular cytoplasmic inclusions. The tumor cells are mostly arranged in sheets and involve the adjacent soft tissue and muscle fibers. Mitotic figures are frequent.
