The majority of the tumor is composed of small primitive cells with hyperchromatic oval nuclei and minimal discernible cytoplasm as well as scattered cells that have an epithelioid quality and occasional cells with eccentric bellies of eosinophilic cytoplasm, suggestive of rhabdoid cells.
