The temporal lobe lesion is a malignant round cell tumor with a solid to nodular growth pattern. The tumor is hypercellular, shows brisk mitotic activity and has scattered areas of necrosis and karyorrhectic/apoptotic debris. The neoplastic cells have scant cytoplasm and contain large nuclei with prominent nucleoli. (H&E)
