Case 20 History ---- The patient was a 12 month old previously healthy female with first time seizure who was found to have a large intracranial mass with significant obstructive hydrocephalus on head CT. Shortly after admission, she was intubated for airway protection prior to urgent placement of an extraventricular drain by the neurosurgical team. The patient's seizures have resolved. An MRI was performed and surgical resection followed soon thereafter. ---- 20A1-4 MRI Studies---- 20A1 This T2 FLAIR examination shows a large pineal/thalamic region mass which is hyperintense.
