3B1 ATRT (Case 3) H&E 1.jpg
3B1-3 Sections from the right cerebellopontine angle mass showed a malignant small to medium-sized round cell tumor neoplastic cells, the former with minimal cytoplasm and latter with moderate to abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm with eccentric placement of nuclei. The nuclei, however, throughout contain more open chromatin pattern with many macronucleoli. Scattered multinucleate giant tumor cells are also notable. Mitoses are easy to find along-with scattered apoptotic/karyorrhectic debris.
