Washington University Experience | NEOPLASMS (EMBRYONAL) | ATRT - Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor | 7B1 AT-RT (Case 7) H&E 40X
7B1,2 Sections show a neoplasm consisting of small round blue cells with scant cytoplasm, high nuclear to cytoplasmic ratios, and nuclei with mildly hyperchromatic chromatin and inconspicuous nucleoli that show nuclear molding. In areas the neoplasm is discohesive and has cells with increased cytoplasm; however, definitive rhabdoid cells are not present. Mitoses are numerous.
