2B1,2 Histologic sections of the posterior fossa tumor show a hypercellular neoplasm composed of neoplastic cells with hyperchromatic nuclei, indistinct cell borders, and relatively scant cytoplasm. The low power appearance is that of a small round blue cell tumor showing prominent and widespread rosette formation.
