The multilayered true rosettes are also markedly proliferative. (Ki67 IHC) ---- Not Shown: A stain for epithelial membrane antigen (EMA) highlights rare dot-like positivity within the apical border of rosettes focally. The CD99 stain shows focal weak membrane pattern staining within a subset of the rosettes.
FISH was performed utilizing probes against 19p13.3 and 19q13.4. In this particular case, there was no evidence of either deletion or gene amplification. ----
Comment: The morphologic and immunohistochemical features are consistent with the diagnosis of embryonal tumor with abundant neuropil and true rosettes (ETANTR), WHO grade IV.
