Washington University Experience | NEOPLASMS (EMBRYONAL) | ETMR - Embryonal Tumor Multilayered Rosettes | 4A1 ETANTR (Case 4) H&E 1.jpg
Case 4 History ---- The patient is a 2 year old female with a supratentorial mass. Operative procedure (7/17): Biopsy of a right parasagittal mass was performed. ---- 4A1-3 This is a variably cellular neoplasm with mixed morphologic features. In most areas, the tumor appears relatively sharply demarcated from adjacent brain parenchyma. In some areas, the tumor has a primitive appearance, composed predominantly of small hyperchromatic cells with minimal cytoplasm and numerous mitoses. Some of these cells are arranged surrounding a central lumen with multiple layers of tumor cells and high mitotic activity; these structures are consistent with multilayered rosettes.( H&E)
