4A4-7 Intermixed within these primitive regions are cells that appear more mature and neuronal. They contain small round nuclei with delicate chromatin and variable clear perinuclear halos embedded within a delicate fibrillary matrix, consistent with neuropil. The majority of these tumor cells are cytologically consistent with neurocytes. Also, there are scattered ganglion cells that are minimally dysmorphic, but seem to be part of the tumor nevertheless, rather than entrapped elements. (H&E)
