5B1-3 Although there is marked variation from area to area in the neurosurgical specimen, the majority of the specimen is composed of an embryonal neoplasm. Many areas are densely populated by cells with hyperchromatic, atypical, elongate-oval nuclei, occasional prominent nucleoli, and minimal cytoplasm. These cells exhibit nuclear molding or wrapping and sometimes occupy weak fascicles.
