LIN28A IHC shows areas of cytoplasmic reactivity within the tumor tissue (LIN28A IHC), ---- Not shown: FISH testing for amplification of the C19MC locus were performed and was negative. Without direct evidence for C19MC amplification, the specific WHO diagnosis: ‘ETMR, C19MC-altered’ is inappropriate. However, we consider the strong histomorphological feature of multilayered rosettes, bolstered by the characteristic (albeit not specific) finding of staining for LIN28A, sufficient to support the diagnosis ‘ETMR, not otherwise specified, WHO Grade IV.’
