10D3 Medulloblastoma (Case 10) MIB 2
Comparison of Ki-67, H&E and pale areas show fewer cells with Ki-67 immunoreactivity. ---- Not shown: Immunostaining provided from the outside institution demonstrated that the tumor cells were positive for synaptophysin but GFAP negative. Neu-N was negative throughout the tumor. ---- Comment: The morphological and immunohistological characteristics of this tumor are consistent with a medulloblastoma (WHO Grade IV). While the appearance on H&E and Ki-67 staining pattern suggested a desmoplastic variant, the reticulin staining pattern failed to confirm this type of organization.
