The tumor cells have small, oval, irregular, hyperchromatic nuclei with inconspicuous nucleoli, a high nuclear-to-cytoplasmic ratio, and scant cytoplasm. Mitotic activity is brisk. The tumor cells are seen infiltrating through the Virchow-Robin spaces in the adjacent fragments of cerebellum. There is no definitive area of nodular/desmoplastic differentiation.
