Case 18 History ---- [6yo male well until 5 months prior to admission when he developed nausea and projectile vomiting. A craniotomy was performed and a cerebellar vermis medulloblastoma was identified. Radiotherapy was performed post-operatively. One month prior to his second hospitalization tumor recurred in the suture line and cervical lymph nodes. At that time he walked with an unsteady gait, had a right internal strabismus and his pupils reacted sluggishly to light. There was a partial third nerve palsy and a partial contracture of the left leg. He was given radiation therapy to his neck but his condition steadily worsened with tonic convulsions lasting up to 5 minutes. He went rapidly downhill and expired. ---- At autopsy the spinal cord was involved by CSF spread of his medulloblastoma. (H&E)
