Case 3 History ---- [13yo female with a posterior fossa enhancing mass.] ---- 3A1-4 The neoplasm is composed of a monotonous population of intermediate to large blue cells with minimal cytoplasm. The individual cells have round to polygonal nuclei with moderately coarse chromatin and prominent eosinophilic nucleoli. These are associated with scant, if any, cytoplasm. The mitotic rate is brisk and frequent apoptotic cells are seen. Occasional cells appear to have slightly more eosinophilic to amphophilic cytoplasm, however these are not prominent. Patches of necrosis are seen.
