5B1-4 Sections show a hypercellular tumor with a sheeted growth pattern. A major subset of tumor cells appear large with moderate eosinophilic cytoplasm and contain prominent nucleoli. The tumor cells in these areas show focal evidence of cell-wrapping and increased karyorrhexis. A smaller subset of tumor cells is typical of small round cell tumor, with scant cytoplasm and hyperchromatic nuclei. Mitoses are frequent.
