6B2 Medulloblastoma & Moyamoya & ECAD (Case 6) H&E WM
The neoplasm is composed of atypical cells with oval to elongated nuclei with a coarse chromatin pattern and inconspicuous nucleoli and cytoplasm. In places it has a prominent bipolar cell component and foci of endothelial proliferation. It shows extensive spread into the subarachnoid space and to the cerebral hemispheres involving superior, lateral and basal aspects of the brain, brainstem and cerebellum along the subarachnoid space. There is also tumor spread into the brain parenchyma along the Virchow-Robin spaces, particularly in the cerebellar hemispheres surrounding the main tumor mass.
