It shows extensive spread into the subarachnoid space and to the cerebral hemispheres involving superior, lateral and basal aspects of the brain, brainstem and cerebellum along the subarachnoid space. There is also tumor spread into the brain parenchyma along the Virchow-Robin spaces, particularly in the cerebellar hemispheres surrounding the main tumor mass.
